Taylor Degnan, an Eagle Scout candidate in Troop 43G (Pine City, NY), was featured in a story on WENY TV News on August 20, 2025. For her Eagle Scout project, Taylor created a monument to veterans on the grounds of Fresh Start Church in Pine City. The monument includes a concrete pad, an illuminated flagpole, and a small garden. The church will use the memorial to host ceremonies to honor veterans.
Taylor began planning the project in November 2024, and led all aspects of the project, including design, planning, procurement, fundraising, and execution. Volunteers from her family and troop helped her with the installation. See Taylor’s achievement in the video below!
